The North Maharashtra University (NMU), Jalgaon (M.S.) is one of the well- established premier State Government run University working with the objectives of imparting higher education, research and training suitable to meet the challenges of 21st century. It has been reaccredited with the status of A grade (3.05) by PEER Review Committee of NAAC. Guided by focused vision and dedicated research and academic efforts, UICT (University Institute of Chemical Technology) earlier known as UDCT founded in the year 1994, has established its own identity in the field of Chemical Engineering and Technology through its dedicated faculty and state of art infrastructure. The institute has received research project grants (around 20.0 Crore) from various agencies like DST, CSIR, DRDO, UGC, AICTE etc. and has been recently covered under NON-SAP Scheme of UGC, FIST Scheme of DST, Innovative Programme of UGC, and TEQIP-II, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The institute runs AICTE recognized Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) and Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree courses and pursues Ph. D. Research Programme in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Technology and Pharmaceutical Technology to fulfill the growing demands of entrepreneurs, Technocrats and Scientists. The sophisticated instrumentation of department includes characterization facilities of latest version – FESEM, XRD, PSD, AFM, DSC, TGA, FTIR, GC, HPLC, Colour Matching and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Brookfield and Stress Relaxation Viscometer, Vapour Pressure Osmometer, Dissolution Test Apparatus-auto sampler, etc. The institute is recently purchased Particle Size Analyzer, GPC, XRD, Ultra Top Micro Centrifuge, High Pressure Homogenizer, Lyophilizer, Spray Dryer etc. The syllabus is designed to cater to the requirements of students aspiring professional technocrats of high caliber.

The academic flexibility and credit system has been implemented for all-round evaluation of students. The research project work in third and fourth semester of M. Tech. programme is supported by renowned Chemical / Pharmaceutical industries.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to two-year duration full-time Postgraduate Programme- M. Tech. (Pharmaceuticals Chemistry and Technology) at this Institute.

GPAT/GATE qualified candidates and selected meritorious full-time candidates will be provided with Teaching Assistance sanctioned by AICTE, New Delhi and rules and regulation governed by TEQIP-II, MHRD, New Delhi. During Second year M. Tech., selected students will be given opportunity to work at Renowned Pharmaceutical Industries for their Research Projects. Separate bachelor hostel accommodation for Female and Male candidates is available on the campus at university rates.

Application Fee :
An application fee of Rs 300 is to be paid by the candidates belonging to the general category and Rs 150 by the SC/ST/OBC candidates through demand draft in favor of 'Finance and Account Officer, North Maharashtra University' payable at Jalgaon.

The candidates are required to download the application form from the official website and send the completed form along with other relevant documents and the application fee to 'Director, University Institute of Chemical Technology, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon-425001 (M.S.)'.

18 seats for full time (Total-18). The reservation will be as per rules of State Government of Maharashtra.

The applicants from open category must hold minimum of 50% marks and reserved category must hold minimum of 45% marks in qualifying examination. Those who are awaiting final year results may also apply, but they will have to submit their result on or before admission date (before 5.30 p.m.).

Candidates applying for M. Tech. Programme (Pharmaceuticals Chemistry and Technology) will have to appear for the written aptitude test and interview to be conducted by this Institute on 26/08/2015. Candidates with valid GPAT/GATE score are exempted from the written test.
